I've been a life-long activist in the U.K. and Canada ( housing, anti-racism, Indigenous, prisoner and refugee rights and climate etc.) I'm also a teacher, drummer, songwriter, video/filmmaker.  I speak a little Spanish and teach Spanish speakers English. I currently belong to Seniors for Climate Action Now! And Faith & Climate Action (although I'm not affliated with any religion.)

Writer, carpenter, gardener, citizen scientist, Nina Newington lives with her wife on the North Mountain in Mi’kma’ki (Nova Scotia). The year she turned sixty she made a commitment to do what she can for this living world, to be a voice for the voiceless, to put her body in the way of what damages the Earth. Currently she is president of Save Our Old Forests and working with Mi’kmaw matriarchs, artists and other settlers to create the Peace and Friendship Medicine Trail.
